Club Isaac Hayes Photos

I've added a few pics from Isaac's. A couple of these are from prior dates too. You'll see my new Korg in the most recent. This has really added a truer organ sound. You can find these photos on the right at "PHOTO ALBUMS" in the Isaac Hayes section.
Don't forget to watch channel 3, Thursday at 9am. I've heard Daddy Mack Orr will be on too.

Oh, What a Night!

"No Riders"
We had a blast! These are highlights from our second set. Yes, I left the "red shoes" at home(they'll be back). Tonight we added songs by Shelby Lynne, Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt, Jonny Lang and an original.

This Thursday, March 31st, we will be on channel 3's "Live at 9:00". This is promoting the "Fried Glass Onions" CD and release party, Saturday at Isaac Hayes.

March 25th

We're back at Isaac Hayes this Friday. Two different shows at 7:30 and 9:30. You'll love our new tunes we've added. This is a great place for music. If you haven't been there, it's in the Peabody Place Mall, directly above Tower Records.
Last time at Isaac's, management told us that was their largest crowd since opening. So get there early. Food is good and the service is , well, never mind.
If you park in one of the Mall Towers on the corners of Peabody and 2nd or 3rd, bring in your parking stub and get it validated for a dollar off.
How'd ya'll like that audio thing? I did that from my cell phone. Cool, huh?

Here's the Scoop

Eddie Dattel from Inside Sounds came into practice last night and said he's got enough material for the Memphis Wonders CD. He also heard another one of our Beatles tunes and said we will be on "Memphis Meets the Beatles II" due out in the fall. There will be a "Fried Glass Onions" CD release party at Isaac Hayes on Saturday, April 2nd. Prior to the release party, we will be on Channel 3's, "Live at 9" on Thursday morning, March 31st. We're on for one or two songs, I haven't heard yet.

More news: we are pulling out of the Emergenza contest. It's just not our style of music or the road we care to travel. We have been asked to play in the Memphis Summer Concert Series on Beale Street this year. They have chosen 16 bands out of 60 to play every Wednesday, May through August at the Pavillion. Tentatively we are on during May. Adding to the calendar, we will be headlining the "Will Play for Change" tour when it comes through Memphis, June 4th. This event is sponsored by Indie Heaven. Location still undetermined. We've got a lot in the works so keep checking back as summer nears.

Memphis Wonders Series

We've been invited to play on another CD. A compilation for the Wonders Series, "The Art of the Motorcycle". This production will also be from Insides Sounds w/ our recording on for this Saturday. This should be another fun one. I should find out which song we're doing tonight.

What a week!

Work work work. Fixing up and moving out things at mom's old house. Trying to put it on the market. Festivities around church from Dr Rogers retiring. Not a day off this week, yet life goes on.

We've got new music on the way. Looks like the CD release party is on at Isaac Hayes Club on Saturday, April 2nd. All the singers from the "Fried Glass Onion" CD are going to perform 2 songs each. This looks to be a great event. Hopefully, our band will perform some too. We are going to be at Isaac Hayes on the 25th of March for two shows at 7:30 and 9:30. Keep an eye on the Calendar, we've got some gigs in the works.
